Position Description:
SharePoint Architect / Developer rock-solid SharePoint experience for immediate opportunities utilizing and extending the SharePoint object model to develop integrated portal solutions for our customers. The candidate should have 5+ years in the role of a senior architect on SharePoint projects. Successful candidates will also possess an impressive background and experience with C#.NET and VB.NET.

Must Have Skills/Qualifications

  • At least one relevant SharePoint development certification
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent
  • The successful senior candidates must have 10+ years of relevant working experience, which includes:
  • Proven development and production implementation experience with Microsoft SharePoint (specifically versions 2007 and 2010)
  • Experience developing custom solutions for SharePoint using SharePoint API, Object Model, web parts web services, workflows, site collections/structure
  • Software development experience including Website design and development experience using Microsoft ASP.NET, Visual Studio, SQL Server, InfoPath, Excel Services, Windows Workflow Foundation, Silverlight, etc.


Experience with either SharePoint 2007: Business Data Catalog (BDC) or SharePoint 2010: Business Connectivity Services (BCS)

  • .NET Development experience in VB.NET and/or C#.NET
  • Effective English written and verbal communications - ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical users
  • Effective client-facing interpersonal skills; comfortable and effective acting as liaison between multiple technology groups and representing groups in large scale meetings
  • Experience with project methodology techniques and documentation (waterfall, agile)
  • Expertise in all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) including initial design/analysis of portal solutions through deployment of the solution
  • Gather and understand client system requirements for SharePoint implementations
  • Perform gap analysis between package delivered functionality and client's requirements
  • Map client requirements to SharePoint application functionality identifying creative work-arounds when necessary or customizations/custom development
  • Train client personnel on the usage and administration of the SharePoint application
  • Develop data conversion and testing strategies
  • Develop high level project work plans

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and/or experience in other Microsoft technologies such as Dynamics GP, Dynamics AX, Dynamics CRM, and SQL Server technologies – SSRS, SSIS, SSAS
  • Experience with social media integration – such as Yammer
  • Prior consulting experience in a consulting firm or professional services firm is a plus
