Sales Account Executive

This is a unique consultative sales position is geared towards an innovative, creative, results-driven individual to sell and focus on the fast growing world of content marketing and custom content. This Account Executive will be a key player at a growing, dynamic media organization. The successful candidate must be creative and able to adapt to an ever-changing and ever-growing organization which is branching out into new mediums rapidly.
Responsibilities:
  • Prospect and develop key Marketing Department relationships at client companies to effectively build and maintain accounts utilizing Business Insurance Content Services
  • Establish professional relationships and a robust account pipeline by prioritizing and conducting a high volume of weekly account opens and sales calls to realize maximum revenue
  • Develop new business opportunities
  • Strategically approach prospects and determine needs, marketing initiatives/objectives, business model, budget cycle and identify key decision-makers
  • Develop effective sales proposals and content marketing solutions through experience and internal brainstorming with a thorough understanding of appropriate deliverables, including print, research, events, webinars, social media, whitepapers, videos, e-Books, newsletters, lead generation programs, and microsites
  • Negotiate final agreement points in conjunction with internal staff and prospective clients
  • Provide call reports, sales pipelines and revenue forecasts

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 4 years’ sales experience, including strong marketing services and digital sales experience preferably in B2B publishing
  • Communication consulting experience a plus
  • Bring a rolodex of relationships!
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed individual sales goals both in print and on-line
  • Strong business acumen and professionalism
  • Excellent presentation skills with solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be a strong team player with a positive attitude, who is highly motivated, open to new ideas
  • Excellent customer focus and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, ACT and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel at least 30% annually to meet with clients
  • Must be able to network at industry events and business functions
